I think it was more a case of not really liking Steen and liking Laurie.

Which is fair enough I guess since I am the same in regards to many people.

I personally hope any self respecting fans find their way to any other board that that one.

LOL so it has been Terry! Michelle the part she took out was something about how she felt Laurie cared more about moderating than i did, that she prefered how Laurie moderates. I don't know how many times i can tell someone we moderate exactly the same way! LOL

I saw the programm on the plane that flew in to Tower 1 9/11 on Monday night. That is what is important.

I am not denying that feelings have been hurt and words said that shouldn't have been. The remarks made were from a representative (albiet self appointed) of DH land and in that case unprofessional ( I assume mods are sort of professional) and unnecessary.
I think the phrase own foot and shot came up somewhere.

i think you are right Kat, i think it has more with how i express myself as a Darren fan than as a moderator *s* I'm glad Laurie just naturally talks in a way that most people like! LOL I could try to fake a more acceptable way of talking about Darren, where i don't call him Mr.Fruit Undies or poke fun at him, but holy crap i've been talking about Darren (and Daniel!) like that since i first started posting on the SG BBS in '98! LOL Back then, we ALL did it and everyone seemed to understand the concept of a loving tease *chuckle*

Some people love to talk seriously and lovingly about how they regard Darren, that's perfectly cool. But there are only so many times in a given span that i can say i like Darren, i enjoy his music before i start to feel repetitive and boring *g*

This whole incident amuses me because back in the day, when Carla was picking new moderator helpers after Maggz and Ema, i distinctly remember Maggz giving me congrads and telling me she had reccomended me to Carla as a good candidate for moderating. I highly doubt i have changed that drastically in the .. *thinks* 3 years is it?.. i've been mod or that i speak any differently than i always have. The only thing i can think of is that i've actually mellowed about certain things i was previously hurt about and that i actually like Darren's new album as opposed to Spin which i only liked a few tracks *s* So in certain ways, you'd think my standing would be improved! XD

Oh look it sure is insignigant in comparison to say Shappelle Corby sitting in her hell hole fighting for her life in a bali prison or the Tsunmai or people starving in Africa.

I guess I am just a passionate person when I get in the moment. I think I get into debates about alot of things.

I just take the whole DH thing as a event thats happening and have discussion on it.

I just wish everyone could get to say what they wanted and feel what they wanted be that good or bad without others feeling the need to lecture them on how they should be feeling and using Darrens feeling as a guilt trip on others.
